Phase objectives:
By the end of this phase the student should:
- Know the cases and mode of transmission of diseases in each system
- Be able to correlate between the clinical, social and preventives aspects of diseases
- Be able to take proper history and physical examination
- Know the common drugs, mode of action and side effects
- Select and request the suitable laboratory investigation for each disease
- Know the clinical and social effects of diseases and the preventive methods of each
- Know the anatomical, physiological, biochemical, pathological aspects of each body system
- Know the causes and complications of common diseases
- Increase knowledge about Medical Professionalism with special concentration on communication skills
