Teaching & training methods:
The student receives a set of courses in eight semesters in theoretical and practical field throughout the period of the study, in which practical side represents 60% in nursing.
Theoretical part:
It includes lectures, group discussion, seminars and health problem solving
Practical training: the training is conducted in lab skills.
Clinical training: is taken in hospitals.
Field training:
- Teaching and learning strategy include the following:
- Active learning based on student.
- Solving problems through the stages of study approach.
- Solving community problems.
Training on communication and communication skills:
- Clinical training in (medical & surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology and mental health) nursing is taken under the supervision of a qualified trainer.
- Field training in community health care is practiced in centers (clinics prisons, homes for the elderly and those with special needs).
- Students’ community activities, field training and nursing emergencies such as road accidents, fire, epidemics and disasters.
Practical training and clinical requirements:
- Within the student's qualifying practice, training periods are introduced at different levels.
- Identify an applicable training on various nursing lab skills in the first and second semesters.
- Clinical training in internal medicine and surgical nursing is practiced in the third, fourth and eighth semesters
- Clinical training in pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, mental health and psychiatric nursing is applied in the fifth, six and eighth semesters.
- Field training of community health nursing is delivered in the seventh semester.
- Training in hospital management and conduction of graduate project is in the seventh semester.
